Eggs are an affordable, practical and nutritious food for every age. The Kırnı egg facility can produce 8,500,000 table eggs a month; they are packed hands-free in hygienic conditions and delivered to shops every day.
Why are eggs so valuable?
- They are a source of high-quality protein that helps maintain muscles and tissues.
- They contain vitamin D, which supports healthy bones.
- Their lutein and zeaxanthin antioxidants support eye health.
Is it fresh? The water test
Place the egg in a bowl of cold water. A fresh egg sinks and lies on its side. As it ages it stands up on its pointed end; cook these well before eating. Do not use an egg that floats to the surface.
Storing eggs properly
- Keep eggs in the fridge in their own box; the door shelf is where the temperature changes most.
- Store them pointed end down.
- Do not wash them before storing; if needed, wash just before use.
- Do not use eggs with cracked shells.
