Chicken with Rice


1 Kırnı breast
2 glasses of rice
40gr butter
1 tablespoon of grain-shaped macaroni (orzo)
3 glasses of chicken broth
4 boiled potatoes
½ coffee cup of milk
1 tablespoon of butter


Put the Kırnı breast into a saucepan, add some water to cover them and bring to a boil until the breast is tender. After 5 minutes add the salt and continue cooking. Drain them.

Leave the rice in some warm water for 20 minutes. Then tear the breast into shreds.

Wash and drain the rice. In a saucepan, melt the butter, add orzo and cook until golden. Then add the rice and continue frying for a few seconds.

Add 3 glasses of chicken broth over the rice and then add the shredded chicken breasts and cook it over a low heat until all water is absorbed. Then leave it to mature.

For serving the rice take a small bowl and wet it. Place a small handful of the breast at the bottom of the bowl and add the rice on it. Smooth the rice using the back of a spoon and turn over the bowl onto the platter. Sprinkle fresh black pepper over it and serve.
